To act as a key member of the mobile engineering team responsible for our mobile apps. To deliver software improvements, new features, and new products, matching our sets of quality standards and meet the UX, functional and technical requirements.

• Creative innovative mobile applications

• Knowledge in Mobile Development (Swift/Objective C for iOS or Java/Kotlin for Android)

• Architect, design and develop mobile applications according to requirements

• Collaborate with the Design team to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps

• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize application performance and UX/UI

• Communication about application logic to both internal and external team

• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize application performance and UX/UI

• Advise on technical solutions already available in the market or available through open-source projects

• Provide estimates of work to be completed

• Presentation of key learnings and expertise to others in delivery team

• Uphold the standards set for code quality
  
  A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  At least 2 years of experience in developing mobile applications with iOS and/or Android
  Required:

  • Excellent understanding of JavaScript, React and React Native
  • Experience with native app development in either iOS or Android.
  • Writing backend web services to support apps (e.g. Apache, MySQL)
  • Ability to work independently and complete task on time
  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, re-usable code.
  • Strong analytical skill and a problem solver
  • Good understanding of integrating with back-end (RESTful) APIs
  • Good understanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile practices
  • Familiar with GitHub, JIRA, and Slack
  • Be able to speak, read, and type in English.

  Desired:

  • Ionic or similar framework useful.
  • Experience with PHP frameworks, e.g. Laravel, Symfony
  • Strongly organized, able to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets
  • Attention to detail and an understanding of user experience.
